Neck brace

Hi All
I need some advice
I would like to buy a neck brace, but they are quite expensive.
Are Leatt the way to go, or are there other products that is worth buying?
Should you buy a brace secondhand?
Where is the best place/price  to buy? I like to support my local dealers, but if it's way cheaper over the internet, I will have to think twice!
