neck operation

Hi dawgs
Just had my dics fused in my neck and will be out of riding and all other sport for a while.
Anyone out there had the same operation and how long did it take before you felt safe to ride again.
Life's going to be so kak without my regular Sunday ride with my mates and can't wait to get back in the saddle
