I live in the Robertson area and want to organise an informal group for for Saturday, Sunday or occasional weekday rides up into the Karoo. Not leisurely putts up R62 to Barrydale for Saturday coffee or a yearly jaunt up N7 to Namibia but 300 to 400 km all day rides over some of the nicest gravel/dirt roads in the Western Cape. I ride a GS1200 which bars me from the truly rough stuff but an assortment of dual sport riders of varying skills and experience would be great. Not everyone need be a kamikaze (I'm certainly not) but a few crazies wouldn't be out of place. Disclosure: I much prefer to ride alone but my wife prefers (i.e. is on my back) that I find somebody to ride with or stay in cell phone range. The best places don't have cell phone coverage hence this call for like minded riders. If there are any interested folks out there give me a shout.
