So it was time to add to our little family. TravelGravel was tempted by the Dark Side lately after riding my 990 and I've been looking at something smaller for the more technical rides (I won't swap the 990). We ended up looking at the same bike, so we decided to share (don't know how long that's gonna last :biggrin
I think the clincher was the last Blazes run we did. As her 650GS decided to pop a tappit cover gasket it was out of action and she did the ride on the TTR230 thinking it's the smallest bike - she'll hold up everybody. Not only did she have more fun then ever on the GS, she also stayed nicely in the pack. Only on the tar stretches did the she and the Yammie keep Malget (dedicated sweeper  ) up.

Due to the height of the bike (and TG's long legs - NOT) we decided to call it Shorty.
And for all the 690 owners, Groenie is busy making some soft luggage brackets for it that can take both Dirt Bagz and other (Kappa) soft panniers (I'll post pics when it's done)
