So after not owning a bike for 10 years, I bought a Honda XR 650 L recently, mainly to commute between home and work (7km) but also to do some gravel trips.
In my younger days (read before marriage and kids) ive owned several off-road bike, such as Suzuki PE 175/ PE 250/ PE 400/ RM 250/ RM 400/ RM 465/ RM 500. Honda XR 200.
My last bike was a Yamaha XT 600 Tenere.
And then several road bike as well.
