Trac Mac started 30 years ago on 1st July 1982 as a tyre fitment centre, the first of its kind in Cape Town, a small outlet in Short market Street Cape Town.
I purchased the company in July 1984 and two years later I moved the business to Waterkant Street where we traded for 25 years.
In 2005 Kevin Spratley joined me as a partner and we opened Trac Mac Bellville. In 2006 his brother David joined me as a partner in Trac Mac Cape Town. A year later the three of us opened Trac Mac Wynberg.
The company has grown year on year and we pride ourselves on being service orientated. With 28 year's operating experience and three branches, we now feel the time is right for us to enter the fast growing online business.
To assist with our new venture, Merri Spratley has joined our team as a partner and will run the new online business.
