Joined the forum a few days ago, been lurking since. I see that there are a few guys from EL on the forum too. That is a nice change as most of the other forums that I am active on do not anyone within 300km of here.
About me: I bought a 2005 BMW R1200GS about 3 months ago. I had not ridden for about 20 years and even then it was only on my 50cc around town. Naturally it has been very different but oh so much fun. Have done one long trip. We went from EL to Patentensie through Baviaanskloof to Die Hel to Knysna via Prince Alfred pass and back to EL. Have another trip planned for November and cannot wait.
