In the UK, many riders swear by using engine guards (see pics), RATHER than crash bars, for a whole host of reasons...

I plan to bring myself a set in; after 6+ months of waiting, the designer of these is going to produce (cast) another batch in th enext month or so.

(interesting chap, Steptoe - he's on the UK GS'er website, with 35,000+ posts - something of a guru to the English 11Fiddy riders, etc)

Anyway, he has not even produced the latest batch (does a run every 2 or 3 years, it seems, when he has enough demand...)

I will be bringing in a set myself, and, since they are 'stackable', I could bring in some for other dogs who are interested in sharing shipping.
Price? I do not know yet.

But I expect we could have them here in 90 days...
Let me know if you are interested.

If you wish to read WHY they prefer engine guards to crash-bars, the search the UK GS'er website.
Cheers
