How often do you change your bike oil, not full service, just oil. I've got more than 75k km on the freewind, and I change the oil before every trip or after every 1 or 2 thousand km's. Am I just wasting my money on oil or am I improving the lifespan of the engin significantly?I only use activo oil,so its a bit of expensive exersize, but I think the more I change the oil the better for the engine.
I know the old oil take impurities out when you drain it, but what I'm trying to get at is for older bike especially, where is the 'saturation point' if you can call it that, when the impurities in the oil will start overriding the lubrication properties of the oil and start deteriorating the engine, so that if you have to draw a graph of km ridden to 'abrasiveness' of oil in engine, where would be the best km to change oil. Any experts or opinions?
Thanks
