I had my 990 in for the 7500km service earlier this week. Got the bike back on Monday afternoon. I decided to check the oil Tuesday afternoon just before I decided to go for a ride. :thumleft:
I followed the procedure as noted on page 75 in the owners manual. This means engine hot while I check the oil. To my shock I found that the oil level is way to high. I mean 2-3cm above the max mark . After speaking to the dealer involved they claimed it should be checked while the engine is cold. This is not what the owners manual says. I am not a happy chappy and just want the dealer to admit that they made a mistake and fix it. What is the correct procedure? I am just double checking now. It may be interesting
