We planned, decided, postponed and eventually the six of us met in Struisbaai on the Friday evening. Saturday morning as we set out to Malgas only four of us could continue as Ridealot and Hein had some work- and family commitments and unfortunately had to turn back.
We took the nice gravel roads past De Hoop to Malgas.
The route
Waiting to cross the river.
Crossing.
From there we set out to Heidelberg for a nice Wimpy breakfast and continue to
Gysmanshoekpass.
On top of Gysmanshoekpass.
We took the road in the direction of Barrydale in order to get to the Warmwaterberg turnoff close to Ronnie’s sex Shop and proceeded via a private game farm towards our destination on a farm about 30km outside Ladismith.
Some of the roads
The only Green spot I could see here
We even spotted some Game
We spend a nice afternoon on the farm driving around and swimming in the farm dam.
Sunday morning we left for Seweweekspoort.
What a beautiful road and surroundings
Our guide then took us on the road to Laingsburg and just before town we turned left on a smooth gravel road that took us to the turnoff leading towards Anysberg game reserve.
Here we encounter some challenging tweespoor roads with loose stones and sand patches that left a few of us vertically handicapped at some point.
Time fly when you have fun and soon it was time to head home whitch we did via Oubergpass and Montague.
All returned home tired but happy after 977km of fun filled travel.
