I took a trip to Laingsburg yesterday to meet Oom Piet who is the front man for the "Towns Operations".
Good guy and knows what he is doing :thumleft:
We did a lengthy site visit to the Koshuis "Huis Karoo" that will be our overnight venue.
For the guys that prefer to camp there is green grass and ablution facilities very close by. For those who want to use the Koshuis itself there are 110 beds, four to a room with ample communial showers and toilets. The showers are open... >
The kuir plek is in a grassed quad (volley ball court) where the braais, bar & music will be set up. There is a small hall as well as ample shade. It's going to fit our requirements to the hilt!
Right next door is the Shell One Stop for fuel etc.
The venue will have security and the Police, Traffic Dept, Hospital and ER24 have been informed of our presence :thumleft: Just make sure your bikes have a number plate...or a piece of it and a license disc 8)
It's a small town and we should respect the citizenry as best we can
The prices listed include braaipacks & sides and set-up costs for two nights.
There will be coffee & tea + rusks all the time.
Breakfasts can be done at the Wimpy or Steers etc
Wimpey have announced a Special for us: 2 eggs, 2 rashers bacon, 2 pork bangers, 1 toast and a coffee for R29.95.
