Pirelli MT 21 as a street knobbly

I'm looking to go more aggressive on my next set of tires for the XChallenge. Basically a street legal knobbly, or rather, a knobbly that's not completely crap on tar, and won't wear out in a week.

What do you guys think of the Pirelli MT 21? Anything else I should be considering?
