We are planning a weekend trip to Eastern Cape in September to tackle the Ben 10.
Firstly, well done to @popman.rhonwyn doing it on one day! If you haven't seen it, view his ride report or video here
Here is our thinking:
Thursday: Arrival Midday - Ride 1
Friday: Ride 2
Saturday: Ride 3 – Depart afternoon
Sunday: Arrive Home
Wednesday night – Guys from Cape Town, staying in Britstown (guy with the T7's Farm). Guys from Overberg, might stay in Middelburg, Nieu-Bethesda or Graaff-Reinet
Saturday night – Try and make our way and stay in Graaff-Reinet (or town on our way there).
Home for us will be Cape Town, Somerset West and the Overberg.
Bikes, best description, liquorice all sorts: F800GS, CRF1000L, Tiger 800Xca, BMW 650, R1150 GS, T7 & 990 Adventure S.
Riding experience varies. Might just take a bit longer than advanced or strong intermediate riders.
Where do I need some help?
Wouldn't mind any ideas on what our route should look like to cover all 10 passes?
As well as insights on which direction to tackle which passes.
This will help determine accommodation. Flexible on the sleeping format can be camping or B&B's.
