I ride a Bajaj Pulsar 180 and no, its not a happy chappie in the dirt (thus i dont take it there), but its all i have now. It went in for a service at 6800km and has since done around 500km. About 120km back i started hearing a funny "plink" sound, esp when slowing down near a stop in 1st or 2nd. It only makes the noise when rear wheel is being turned by the engine (not when turning it by hand on the main stand).
Another thing i have noticed is that there is more noise when actualy riding it as aposed to having it on the main stand and leaving it in 1st. The noise interval is also not constant. Have taken the chain covers off and had a llok but it doesnt look like the chain is hitting something. chain slack seems fine. Took it to the guy who services it and he said there is nothing to worry about, it is just "random engine noise".
Any comment/suggestions?
