Pretoria to Val ride Sunday 24th Feb
Planning to do a ride to Val from Engen garage corner Atterbury & Hans Strydom (or whatever it may be called now) on the coming Sunday 24th Feb.
Plan is basically to take the dirt roads (try to keep the use of tar roads to the minimum) to Val, grab something to eat at the hotel and then head back. Fill up with petrol at Leandra on the way and maybe back.
Total distance is between 400 to 450km. Roads are in fair to good condition, bit of mud might be on the road and a bit of sand at times. If you are comfortable to ride dirt roads at 80 to 100km/h you should be ok. The idea is not to race but to enjoy the ride at a decent pace.
Meeting at the Engen at 06:00 to leave at 06:30
