I want to use my Quest in it's car bracket on the GS. The power supply to the bracket is via a lighter socket with speaker. I'm not worried about the speaker, but would like to power the unit in the bracket without the bulky lighter socket plug.
I will obviously need to reduce the voltage in some way.
Has anyone attempted something like this (without smoke coming out anywhere! >
