R345 BETWEEN ALICE AND PEDDIE

Hi  - thinkng about doing a trip via the EC to Mosselbay - and maybe can shoot down from Hogsback via Alice to Peddie - any idea (recent information will be much appreciated) if the road (looks like gravel) is passable, and in fair condition (no sand, no afgronde in the road etc)  ?
