At last! At 70200km I had to change my TA's sprockets.

For a while now the chain was making a klonk sound at low speed, regardless of how much WD40 I squirt at it so today I did it!

I actually went to Craigs Parow to have a new set of tyres fitted - The Pirelli Scorpion A Ts

and I said they must replace the chain and if the sprockets need replacing I had a set I last bought

All that time ago.
They showed me the front sprocket and even I could see it was ka-poet without resorting to braille, so they lost out on a chain sale charging me only for the fitting.

So now the TA is Lekka again - new tyres, new chain and sprockets.

Could only go for a short ride after work - Malanshoogte, Occultdale, Mellish and the tweespoor to the Phesantekraal airstrip and back via Spes Bona and Malanshoogte again.

On tar WOW what a difference! Feel almost like road tyres, feels faster and smoother than the TKC80 front and Serac back.

On gravel - acceptable, not too much to write home about. Did notice a bit of a side to side movement on the handlebars in loose stuff - which underscores what Ama Ride Ride said about a knobbly front tyre. It really does make a difference. ;)
