REALLY, DIESEL ENGINE OIL?

Just got back from a BMW service counter, in Stellenbosch. Bought the filters and now to do the service. My first on a built up 2007 F650GS single twin spark.

When I asked what oils do they recommend, they tell me HELIX DIESEL HX5 ENGINE OIL. (yellow plastic can) 

Then on my F650GS 800 twin, HELIX MX7. (blue plastic can)

Can this be true?  ???

I would appreciate some info.
