The dogz site has been great info. I'm coming from Wisconsin in the US and planning a trip. The son is finishing a business study program in Cape this week. I fly out in 3 days to meet him. We have 2 GSs hired for a 14 day trip. Here's my plan:
01Cape - OKeip
02Okiep-Vioolsdrift
02Nam/RSA Border-Ai-Ais
03B Ai-Ais- Aus
04B Aus-Sesriem
05Sesriem-Swakopmund
06Swakopmund-Otavi
07Otavi-Onguma Etosha (2 days)
08Onguma-Windhoek
09Windhoek-Keetmanshoop
10Keetmanshoop-Ariamsvlei
10N10 [Border Crossing] to Upington
11Upington to Calvinia
12Calvinia-Cape
I'm all packed but can't decide on bringing my camping kit. It's a lot to carry from the US - we will mostly want hotels - camping is a backup and it would be fun to camp in Africa a couple of nights.
Any last route suggestions before I strap the bags up and suffer through two solid travel days?
Should I pay the excess bag charges and haul the camping stuff?
Can I buy some of those Wild Dog stickers in Cape Town?
Thanks
