Riding through thick sand

I went to the Zeerust Bosremoer this weekend on the DL and encountered thick sand. This is when I remembered that I hate sand and is truly uncomfortable in these type of conditions. I am planning to attend the rider training with ADASA, but until then I will try and avoid this as far as possible!
