Road Riders in thick Botswanan Sand

Have heard that three quite good road riders from SuperBike Magazine will be taking a trip to Botswana in the next couple of weeks to sample some of Botswana's thick sand. Do you guys think that they will be able to handle it????? > They are going to ride a route from McCarthy's Rest past the Gemsbok National Park which is about 250kms of thick sand. Any tips????
