I hope someone can help - I am planning a ride up Rooiberg Pass from the Calitzdorp side. Last time I rode Rooiberg was from VanWyksdorp side end of 2018 and found the descent down to Calitzdorp to be very rocky (loose rocks) and since I ride alone, a bit unnerving - I resorted to some paddling over some sections! ;D I figure going up rocky areas is easier than going down, hence the plan to do it from Calitzdorp.
Does anyone have recent experience of Rooiberg Pass? Any advice would be very welcome. Thanks
