Anyone on here with an older RT 1200?
A 2007 model would probably be what i would be able to afford, but I just get worried when i read about things like fuel strips, fuel pumps, ABS pumps and other big ticket items - https://www.bmwlt.com/threads/07-rt-issues.122089/
When buying privately, it seems that it could be a gamble. In the open market my experience is that people are not always open and honest and in the case of a RT it seems particularly important to, in addition to a service record, be able to engage thruthfully on things such as recalls, repairs and preventative maintenance done. Have only thus far seen one guy who covered this in his advert...the varius repairs and final drive rebuild (seemingly a common problem) amounted to an eye watering R33k ....and that was at a non-BMW workshop.
