Hi Everyone,
Is there a rough guide to seat height? A rule of thumb?
A buddy asked me yesterday and I could not really tell him, apart from saying ideally you should be able to touch the ground and able to control the bike - especially when going slow (lane splitting, stop/go situations, tech riding etc). Bottom line feel comfortable you can control the bike.
He is thinking of getting into biking and considering a Tenere 660Z. However, he is concerned the bike might be to tall for him...(which would mean a Dakar or something lower, since there is no factory lowering option for the Tenere?). He can tip toe on my Tenere...
The Tenere is one of the taller ADV bikes (at 181cm or around there, I cannot put my feet flat down, but manage fine commuting everyday).

So at what stage does seat height become a big enough reason not to get a bike?
