Dear South Africans!
I flew in from Sweden this Tuesday and I am currently in the process of getting my TRN (allowing me to register vehicles in my name here in SA) and a sweet off road bike. Next step will of course be to plan my route. On my last trip to Mongolia (me and a friend), we didn't really plan a lot and pretty much decided where to go as we went, but we quickly released that this eventually leads to a lot of tarmac in countries with a relatively good infrastructure; and thus I am very determined to find good off road tracks before] I depart from Johannesburg.
So my question to you experienced riders is; how do you plan your routes here in SA? I lurked at both the "ride planning" and the "ride report" areas of this forum and found a lot of interesting stories, but never how you obtained the information of the routes.
