Hell guys, there is nothing that saddens me more than hearing of another biker killed or injured in an accident.

Then I think about the time I went for my code 14 and bike licence which I did a driving school. Everything was focused on you passing your licence in the shortest possible time with the minimum of effort.

No time was spent on the safety aspect and the horrible results if it goes wrong. The following are examples:

While waiting at traffic light, watch your mirrors for that fool who is coming from behind and who has no intention of stopping.
The fool who is coming in from a side road and who has no intention of stopping.
The fool who decides to skip a red light and takes the bike out.
To wear a Hi-Viz or not
and so forth.

Personally I think it would be good idea if a learner driver spends a certain amount of time in a class room environment where they concentrate on the safety aspect and the terrible results if one does not follow these safety precautions.

Or I am simply harping about nothing
