SATELLITE PHONES - WHERE IS THE CLEVER GUYS?

We have a Sat phone and need to get it started up and going.  Which reliable company can be recommended to purchase a sim card and airtime without breaking the bank. 
Any other pointers on the setup of the phone would be appreciated.
