Scooter with 94 000 k's

The salesman at Yamaha told me yesterday one of the 100 cc Yammie 2 stroke scooters used as a delivery bike by a large pathology group managed 94 000 k's before they chucked it and bought a new one.WTF how can it be that a small 100cc aircooled engine that revs like mad do such mileage or maybe do you think he just did not tell me how many times it got new barrels,pistons and bearings etc. :-\
