Do not try this unless you are stupid like me.
Take one utterly violated DR650SE ... great bike btw....but the seat is a plank ....
Then think, ok , so I can sit on that thing for maybe 2-3 hours ....what would happen if I filed and fitted it to ME ?
So I took the cover off , and started to play ...
And play some more ....
Then I stapled the cover back on ....and the 'damage' was hardly visible !
But it feels like sitting in the cupped hands of a young maiden ....at least, thats how I'd imagine it .....
Now I just came back from 1050 km ride through the Cedarberg / Sutherland area , and blow me down with a feather, if I can't sit on that little seat for 6 hours before the aches really kick in.
I'm no orthopedic surgeon, but it seems I might have distributed some of the point load from me ole butt bones, and dammit, it works!
Total cost : 20 odd staples, and extremely messy, extremely careful use of a 105mm angle grinder, and a bit of sandpaper.
Like I said, don't do this.
