My wifes previous bike was a 650GS single. I pushed the forks through the tripple clamps and set the rear pre load to zero.(She's 1.57m) After three weeks of riding she did her licence on this bike and passed easily. I slowly raised it back to normal and she had no issues.

Now she wants a twin, but used low suspension models are scarce. The twin is higher at 820mm vs 785mm on the single. Will I get it low enough by changing the seat and pushing the forks through the tripple clamps?

Her riding skills are good, but you can't paddle a bike through mud if your feet don't reach.
