so how fragile are mag wheels really?

I constantly read about mag wheels being are major weak point in any DS bike

yet I have never read (or heard for that matter) of any mag wheels actually breaking/ cracking in my short biking caree......Yet I've seen many bent rims

sure these bikes wont be used for hardcore enduro/touring action.

I've seem Stroms hammered ,then simply dust itself off and away they go - no issues

So how bad are mag wheels really?  are they tubeless BTW?
