After a very long search, and much deliberation, my wife thought that she had found her perfect bike. But after riding the DR for a while she feels that its just a bit too big for her, or at least a bit too much bike for her right now :'(. She is still trying to get her confidence back after a crash last year, and this bike is a bit much to start off with. So we have agreed that she should start off small again, and when her confidence is back, to progress in smaller steps back to the 650. :ricky:
The bike is a 2012 model. Completely stock standard. It only has 13600kms on the clock. I have bought a new front tyre for it, but have not fitted it yet. I had started to swap the original indicators for the el cheapo's, as my wife is bound to fall off again at some point, so why risk the originals eh? :lol8: I have changed the rear indicators, but havent done the front ones. I changed the suspension to the "lady setting" in that I dropped the rear shock and lowered the front forks a bit, but its a quick job to set it back to its standard setting. The left side panel has a small piece that was melted against the exhaust. The previous owner tightened the saddlebag a bit tight and the side panel got cooked a little.
I will do an oil and filter change and throw in a set of plugs while I am at it. Think there is a spare oil filter that the new owner can have :thumleft:
She would like R47000. Slightly negotiable.
