Hello,
My beloved F800GS is for sale. It makes me super sad to have to do this but I have a few other goals to achieve and as they say "no pain no gain".
There is some history in this thread I posted last year June;
https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=225823.msg4083115#msg4083115
The bike has a full service history with BMW. Centurion and Zambesi. Currently sitting at 73943km, and its not likely to change as I won't be riding the bike (Murphy's law and all that). It is in great condition.
It has never left me at the side of the road. The shock did need rebuilding in 2017 and at that time I had a shock block installed as well. The work was done by Offroad Cycles and they did a great job.
The bike comes with a high screen, I don't have the original. It has wide footpegs, bar raisers, spots,sw motech crash bars, and a BMW top box. The top box is actually not something that I see as an extra because its damaged. It works perfectly but it has a whole bunch of scratches on it. I explain what happened to it in the link above. I had the headlight replaced at BMW late last year because the old one started to burn as these headlights sometime tend to do. The headlight is under a two year warrenty with BMW.
Problem areas and honesty;
The bike fell over in a parking lot during a heavy storm in 2016 and it picked up a few scratches on the crash bars and on the one panel. The front indicator on that side also got a tiny crack in it. See pictures.
The cush drive's cushions will need to be replaced in the next 5000km.
Licence disc expires end of this month, but i'll get that sorted. Sorted
The bike is also still financed with MFC so the paper work will take a week or so.
The sprockets and chain are in great condition and they were replaced recently. (I'll have to check exactly when) But I haven't made an adjustment to the chain. I think its done less than 10000km. Since I've owned the bike it has been service every 5000km. This is due to the one year or 10000km rule and I never reached 10000km in a year. The tires are also only about 4000km old, they are Metzeler Tourance. Really nice tires and still have a lot of life in them.
There are so many other things to say about this bike and if there is more info needed please give me a call on zero 8 two 5 one 5 five 8 one 1.
My price isR58000 R55000 not neg.
