After having my Honda XR650R since 2012-present, which I purchased (used), from a WD in Cape Town, I am considering putting her on the market. The reasons being; I really don't get to ride much as I do expat work in Afg. & @ my 51yrs of age, kick starting her after 3-4 months of being mothballed totally tires me out 
.
My son & I used her to "Nanaga farm stall" in PE two weekends ago on 9 Apr 17.
In the 5 years that I have been the owner of my XR650R it has been really well looked after, regularly serviced. Never raced in my time. It has only done a couple trips thru; Baviaans Kloof, timid WD PE Sunday rides and 2ndry roads Paterson & surrounding areas (Zooburg)
2003 model XR 650R.
• Mileage - well cannot tell by speedometer as these could be changed - I am at least the 3rd owner. (the speedometer shows 10 000km ;-)
• In the 5 yrs I have had her, it has been serviced annually by; Alan Lewis, Chris Shinn & Auto Motorcycles (Honda agents in PE)
• Bike is currently at Auto Motorcycles in PE, where it is being serviced and the carb refurbished for "wear & tear" ("Emulsion tube worn” & being replaced)
My XR650R has the following:
• Street legal knobblies are at least 80%.
• Aftermarket windscreen/windshield.
• Aftermarket spare tube bag (on front fender)
• Aftermarket tool/bag (on tail piece)
• Aftermarket “Wilddog Tool tube”
• Baja headlight & cowl.
• I have the IMS >30ltr long range tank (- see old photo)
• I have the round Baja headlight & protection frame (- see old photo)
• Licensed until July 2017 – I have all the current paper work.
These “Old School”, Honda XR650R’s, are “bullet proof”. These BRP’s are becoming scarce with only the lesser powerful XR650L that are still in production.
I would be looking for about R45K negotiable.
