Pack Dog
- Bike is a 2008 Yamaha WR450F (42kw engine)
- Both tyres are almost new, I'd estimate less than 1000km on each
- The bike is road legal and licensed till the end of July 2019
- Can be used for enduro or as a lightweight adventure bike, I've used it for both. I initially used it mostly for enduro, then later added a mini rally kit and now I use it as a lightweight ADV bike.
- In the dirt, this bike will run circles around any of the big bikes. Routes in Cederberg like Eselbank and Wupperthal are child's play on this. You'll wonder why guys on big bikes struggle in the sand or the mud.
- Fully fuelled, with both tanks, I estimate the bike weights under 150kg
- Engine, transmission, clutch etc are all in perfect working order. Yamaha Paarden Eiland worked on it last
- Bike has done under 10000km
- Total range is between 300km and 350km, depending on how you ride
Extras:
- Rally Kit including:
Lights (2 spotlights, one for normal use, one bright)
Proper Handguards
Long range front tank (15L)
Removable Safari rear tank (5L)
Mount points for maps and other customizations
Vapor computer box
- Bike has a tubliss system. This is a hard inner tube on both the front and rear that runs at 7.5bar. The wheels are then tubeless (running at about 1bar) and punctures be fixed without removing the tyre. However, if you can't fix the tyre you can run completely flat without damaging the rim because of the inner tube. If you're riding deep sand, you can run the tyres at 0.5bar or even completely flat.
- Currently running 16 tooth front, 46 tooth rear sprockets. This mutes the torque and allows for highway speeds. The bike can easily cruise at 120km/h. I've taken it to around 153km/h. Original 13/50 sprokets included. Sprockets do not need to be replaced
- Comes with a spare chain
Problems:
- Needs some wiring work and general attention
Price R35000
