So I decided I need to go for a full day ride so I took a day off from the heavy retirement schedule and decided to go over the Breede river at the Malgas Pont as I have never done it before. Started at 06h30 and did the boring N2 to Heidelberg at a reasonable 130/140kmp turned left at the Witsand turn off then a few K's done right to Slangrivier where the dirt started ABS off GPS on. 
At the Pont there was no life so i hooted a few times before the "energetic" fellows wondered down and got started to come and fetch me. Once over the Pont it was off to Infanta, some hectic road works on the way, now this is a place I could easily live in. Back over the Pont which, by the way costs a whopping R20 for both crossovers and off to Witsand, this is where I really needed the GPS which kept me on track as I didn't know the dirt route. Being wheat/grain cutting season there were a few heavy vehicles causing so much dust that you had to slow down to a crawl to have some sort of safe vision.
Quick ride around Witsand and off to Stillbay via dirt where I had a chat with the locals and a Windhoek light and pie for lunch. After that settled it was off again on dirt to Mossel Bay.
All in all I did 440km which was about 70% dirt roads.
