it was about here that i noticed that the bike does not want to roll backwards...i seemed to have lost a bolt on my brake caliper.Thanks Tracmac!

having left Sutherland late I now needed to get to Ceres for the night.My fuel was low and it was getting dark.This was the view to the front..

the last pic I took before it was dark.I arrived in Ceres at about 8,with 465km done for the day.I was absolutely frozen solid,managed to convince the night gate person at Dennebos to let me in.It was a bigger struggle to convince the manager of the local Spur to serve me a decent steak as they close at 9!

all in all a very enjoyable two days,I managed to do about 1100km,about half of that was tar.The costs were reasonable,I spend about R350 on juice,having left Cape Town on a full tank and arriving back with a enough petrol a few days.My food expendature was low,R300(with the Spur being about half).The volume of liquor consumed could have sustained a Micheal Jackson concert at the Athlone staduim.i blame the cold...and my mother
