Not much to say,I had an itch.The type of itch only the hard seat of my KLR could numb.I left with great expectations,a night on Verneuk Pan,the second in Algeria(Cederberg).Well,from Calvinia onwards I was met with buckets of rain,I did not pack my raingear..Once in Brandvlei I met two guys(one bike) that had just come from the pan.One bike was still there 
.I skipped the pan excursion.I got ripped off with the most expensive Amstels this side of Lainsburg!Lost three pints of blood from the billions of mozzies at the local hotel and then finally was met with a completely distroyed Algeria from a fire a day or so before..I m fine though,the bike went like a bomb and there is always a next time :-\
