I'm looking for a 250cc motor to replace the 200cc air cooled 2-stroke which has reached end-of-the-road in my tuk tuk.
Thinking of a Chinese motor.
There is plenty room to build in and even change the drive to the RHS.

THE BIKE IS A TRICYCLE BAKKIE (tuk tuk). Used for local work, trips to the dump and shops.
It has a differential on the rear axle driven by a chain.
Reverse/forward controlled on the diff.
The engine compartment is big and the seat box.

The Conrad has slap and the shaft has pitting
It was manufactured in 1994 by TEELUMASHOD in the Ukraine.
Model is the Moraev (ant).
So no real option to source spares from them.
Can anyone suggest the most cost effective transplant motor. 250 to 300 cc is the most realistic capacity.

Advice welcome...
