Speed not indicating on dash

Hi all, need some advice please.... gave my 07 990Adv a much needed bath Sunday morning. After the wash the speed is not indicating on the dash when riding (static on zero) although the other functions all work as before.

Any advice where to look , and no, I did not use a pressure washer btw lol...

Thanks in advance for forthcoming wisdom as I know for sure I am not first victim of this issue...
