Spotlights - The Good, The Bad & The Uglies

Morning WD's,

I'm in search for the most practical spotlights vs. price for a BMW F650GS.  What advice can you give regarding spotlights?  Looking for brackets, electrical harness that ties in with the bikes electrical works i.e. I'm not looking for an additional switch on the bike.  The spotlights must always be on like your headlight.  Where can one buy and get these installed, etc.

I'm looking at spotlights to make myself more visible - Have heard you get spotlights that has a strobe function - Is this legal on a bike?  Does it work?  What other options are there to make yourself more visible to motorist other than the normal orange cover, bright colours, hazards, riding sensibly, etc.
