The starter motor on my KTM300XCW is in need of a re-build (a new starter costs something like five Grand).
The starter is a Mitsuba model SM-16 12v.
I can order a re-build kit from Slavins Racing in the USA, but want to first check what my options are locally:
1 Does anybody re-build the KTM starters locally; either re-build or service exchange (at a reasonable price)
2 Where can I purchase a re-build kit locally (so I can do it myself)
I don't want to buy a second-hand starter and then have it pack up too after a few hours.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
