Just completed the tooling to service the bendix problem on the Pig's starter. New one from BMW is R1424 + Vat.
These are crimped closed and "cannot be repaired"...
Until now! :biggrin:
Will post more pics later as I didn't take any of the process, since I didn't know what it entailed.
1. Completed and reassembled bendix
2. The back end, where it has been re-crimped
3. The housing
4. The housing after a quick beadblast and new bearings
5. The new refurbished business end
