Hi KLR enthusiasts / aficionados,
I would appreciate your advice / thoughts on an issue I have with my 2008 model KLR, something that has surfaced during the last 500 odd kays.
A strange noise can be heard from the engine area when the revs pass the 3000 mark in either direction. Below this threshold, the engine sounds normal. It is difficult to say exactly what it sounds like; the best I can offer is a whiny, tinny noise.
A chap at work (rides a very experienced looking Fugly) suggested the other day I should have the valves looked at?
The bike has done nearly 43 000 kays and all services are up to date, the last one was done about 2000 kays ago.
