Two weeks ago I asked for help to solve the vibrations problem on my 1981 XL500S. The vibrations came from the back (wheel) but nothing seemed to be wrong. I got some good and funny advice. Then the past weekend I solved the problem but I feel a bit Dof to talk about it. I had, for 26 years, a Yammie with shaft. Then I bought the XL. I suddenly realised that the vibrations started after a puncture and that was the first time I refitted the back wheel. So how aligned was the chain and sprocket? Hellooooo ... After adjustment the vibrations are gone. Henriette H is (again) as smooth as silk.
