It`s 40+ degrees in the shade. I live on a farm in the south of Namibia, so I ride 99.9% gravel. My riding apparel has been consisting of t-shirt ,shorts and vellies for the last few rides, but I can feel Murphy`s Law creeping up on me, and I do not have a reputation or ability to stay upright for any prolonged period of time, especially if there are any type of sand in the equation.
So, my question is. What do I wear? I was thinking in the lines of boots, shorties with knee guards, and an impact vest. But I don`t know if the impact rig would be cooler to ride with than a jacket.
Does anybody have experience and/or advice in regard to riding in excessive heat ?
