Telltale light illuminated on dashboard?

Hi there,

Just finished washing my bike after a Sunday dirt road ride, While drying it off I noticed a little red light on the dash, in the same space where the daylight sensor is.  Manual says that it is a "telltale, anti theft security/ sensor for instrument lighting.  Firstly the bike has no anti theft device that I am aware of.  Started her up, all fine, checked the lights, indicators, hazards, etc, even drove around the block, everything is fine. 

Anybody got an idea what else this can be?
