I am going to take a week’s leave after the bash, and I was thinking of doing Lesotho.
This is what I have in mind:
Sunday 21 March:
From Meiringskloof to Ford Lazer in Wepener (260km) Lekker dirt roads, no rush, we can leave a bit later from the Bash.
Monday 22 March:
Ford Lazer to Elliot (390km) Will maybe stay over at GlenInk for some KSSST. This day will include Joubert’s Pass and Barkly Pass
Tuesday 23 March:
Elliot to Quthing in Lesotho (315km) This will include Barkly Pass again, Bastervoetslaan pad, Pot Rivier Pass, Naude’s Nek and Lundean’s Nek.
Wednesday 24 March:
Quthing to Matatiele (170km). This will include Lekhalo-la-Mogalo, the Devils Staircase, Njamotse Pass, Maphooaneng Pass and Ongeluks Nek.
Thursday 25 March:
Matatiele to Katse Dam (260km) This will be via Rama gate, Matabeng Pass, Lebung, Taung, Thaba Tseka and then to Katse.
Friday 26 March:
Katse back to Fouriesburg or Golden Gate (210km). Maybe do the Kao Mines road. We will see.
